Addis Ababa 02/05/2023 (Motri) The implementation of a digital fuel marketing system will help to reduce fuel wastage and provide transparent and efficient service. 317.56 million Birr was transacted on Telebr in the first week of its implementation, from April 24 to April 28, 2023.
The Director of Public Relations and Communications of the Oil and Energy Authority, Bekele Kuma, said that pending the launch of the digital trading system, it will be able to prevent and control the artificial fuel shortage and that it is a unique solution to avoid illegal fuel transactions.
The Director of Public Relations and Communication added that there is no shortage of fuel and there is sufficient supply after the start of the marketing system.
