A discussion was held with the staff of the ministry regarding the implementation of the 6-month plan

Addis Ababa, January  23/2023 AD (MOTRI), Minister of State for Trade Relations and Foreign Trade Promotion Mr. Kasahun Gofe, who opened the forum with his opening speech, said that although the ministry has only been established for a short time, significant work has been done in this short period of time. The Minister of State said that this is disappointing and explained that he will continue to work in coordination with the relevant parties to achieve better results.

According to the Minister of State for Quality Infrastructure and Assurance, Ato Delehe Mekonen, the Ministry has been given many tasks and responsibilities due to the large size of the office. The Minister of State said that the ministry has carried out many activities in the last 6 months and said that these activities are a great source for future activities. Therefore, they stressed that these efforts should be strengthened and continued.

The Minister of State for Business System and Licensing, Ato Teshale Belhu, said that in order to achieve better results, above all, all the employees of the ministry should have a common understanding on the plan of the ministry.

In addition, he said that every employee of the ministry office should carry out the tasks and responsibilities assigned to them with good manners and close supervision should also be done by the immediate superiors.

At the forum, the 6-month plan of the ministry was presented and discussed. In the report, problems encountered and issues requiring attention were presented, and among the problems encountered, the increase in illegal trade and smuggling activities, the problem of not working according to laws and regulations, and the security problem that was noticed in the areas where oilseeds are produced were noted in the report.
