Addis Ababa, 24/04/2023 A.D. (MOTRI) In the nine months of the 2023 fiscal year, an organized competition to expand and increase national export trade earned 2.64 billion US dollars.
The plan to earn 3.72 billion dollars from exports in the nine months is 71.2 percent of the plan.
Agriculture accounted for 77.28 percent of the income earned in the nine months, the manufacturing sector accounted for 11.95 percent, mining accounted for 6.53 percent, and electricity and other products accounted for 3.61 percent.
The income is obtained through activities focused on increasing the types of export products in terms of type, quantity, quality and income, manufacturing and agricultural cost trading contracts to improve the income performance of modern product marketing system.
In addition to expanding and strengthening the infrastructure of the electronic market, expanding the warehouse receipt service, increasing the number of users and service providers of the system, monitoring and supporting shopping centers, raising awareness to increase the types of products that can be traded electronically, creating an e-commerce strategy, and promoting and marketing leather products on the Internet.
