Addis Ababa 10/06/2015 (Motri) The Ministry of Trade and Regional Cooperation has signed an agreement document with Food Enterprise Solutions to improve the food safety and quality of small food producers.
The agreement focuses on coordinating the work of small food manufacturing companies and providing consulting services to improve their products, food handling and supply, and improving the business of the sector.
Raising awareness of food safety among the public, supporting small producers to implement national and international food safety and quality management, and creating a system to give recognition certificates to small producers who have improved their food safety and quality are issues included in the agreement.
In addition, it was pointed out during the signing ceremony that capacity building activities will be done by conducting a food safety and quality audit and making recommendations for improvement and conducting research on food safety and quality in the country.
